THE ARMOUR OF GOD 5. SHOES (Eph 6:10-17)

In verses 12 & 13 we read:

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.

When a person becomes a Christian they have new life in Christ which means:

1. They are in a new relationship with God

2. They are a new creation

3. They are part of a new community

4. They have a new enemy

But also they are in a battle against those spiritual forces. There are four main areas of battle:

1. The Mind (ch 4)

2. The Home (ch 5)

3. The Workplace (ch 6)

4. The Church (the whole letter)
